About the Founder

Lule Livingstone

Lule Livingstone is the founder and lead guide of Mabamba Shoebill Watching, a locally owned tour company specializing in unforgettable Shoebill and birdwatching experiences in Mabamba Swamp, Uganda.


Livingstone holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Operations and Management, a qualification that has equipped him with professional knowledge in tourism planning, customer service, sustainable tourism, destination management, and wildlife conservation. His education, combined with years of hands-on guiding experience, enables him to deliver well-organized, informative, and memorable experiences for visitors from around the world.


In addition to his tourism background, Livingstone is a Law student, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning, professionalism, and ethical leadership. He believes that combining expertise in tourism with legal knowledge helps him build a business founded on integrity, accountability, and respect for both clients and the environment.


Driven by a lifelong passion for Uganda’s natural heritage, Livingstone established Mabamba Shoebill Watching to introduce visitors to one of Africa’s most remarkable birding destinations. His mission is to provide authentic, high-quality tours while promoting responsible tourism and supporting the conservation of Mabamba Swamp and its unique wildlife.
